CE Personal Protective Equipment Directive
PPE is the abbreviation of personal protective equipment. The old directive number is 89 / 686 / EEC, and the latest one is 2016 / 425. In the European Union and the European economic area, the sale of personal protective equipment (PPE) must comply with the technical standards set out in Directive 89 / 686 / EEC.
It is mainly used to protect employees from serious industrial injury or disease caused by exposure to chemical radiation, electric equipment, human equipment, mechanical equipment or in some dangerous workplaces. In addition to face mask, safety glass and safety shoes, PPE personal protective equipment includes a large number of respiratory protective equipment, protective clothing, including safety helmet, goggles, hearing protector (ear plug), safety gloves, safety shoes, respirator and safety belt.
AENOR is an announcement body authorized by the National Accreditation Authority (ENaC).
